Gamers without Borders is the world's biggest charity esports event in the region, an initiative set by the Saudi Esports Federation, that began in 2019. Due to the COVID_19 pandemic, the world has been affected and governments, people, and organizations have rallied together to stop the spread of this pandemic and assist the less fortunate, in order to survive these uneasy times together as one population.
Saudi Esports wanted to develop the digital presence of the first edition of their flagship global event, Gamers Without Borders, in communicating the unified efforts from gamers in their help to stop the spread of the COVID pandemic. The three months scope involved creating inspirational content, running crucial campaigns to increase participants, and creating a digital ecosystem that would thrive and create a long-lasting impact on viewers and gamers alike.
We built a comprehensive branding & digital presence, including localized platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and their website. We also created live content and streaming which delivered the latest news about the event to viewers, participating gamers, and the teams. Coupled with a solid advertising plan & budget, the first edition made history creating over 800 million impressions, 1,500 participants, and 3 million viewers.
